Pak Tin Estate
Pak Tin Estate (白田邨) is a public housing estate at Shek Kip Mei
in Kowloon, Hong Kong. This estate has more than 40 years history, the
first block was built in 1969. Because the buildings are really old and
it is said that sea water was used to construct some buildings, the
estate has been re-developing from 1989 onwards.
It is strange
that before the final stage of redevelopment is to start, some lifts in
the remaining old buildings are still newly installed. It is not only a
waste of money but also a sign of bureaucracy. But before these old
buildings disappear in Hong Kong, to take some photos as a record is
fun.
