Wah Fu Estate

Wah
Fu Estate (華富邨) is a public housing estate located at Pok Fu Lam of the
Southern District on Hong Kong Island. Totally 18 blocks were completed
between 1967 and 1978. This means Wah Fu Estate has 45 years history.

It
should be one of the public housing estate with the best view (seaview
of Lamma Island, East and West Lamma Channel) in Hong Kong. It is also
the first public housing estate with its own shopping mall.

After
45 years, its outlook and internal structure are both old. Wah Fu
Estate is going to be demolished and rebuilt into a new estate
with blocks of new design and facilities. Besides the change of this
era, a walking tour in Wah Fu Estate is like to visit a museum. It is
fun and memorable.

This was an elevated view of Wah Fu Estate. Please note at that time there were no Cyberport and Wah Kwai Estate, and ... .

This map should have big change in the nearest future.
This photo is also 'borrowed' from the internet.

All twin towers are in Wah Fu Estate (II). They were built in 1970 to 1978. They look well.
