Fa Peng Teng 花瓶頂
Fa
Peng Teng (literally means "Vase Top") is located next to Lantau Link
Toll Plaza of Lantau Island. The highest point is only 270 meters, and
the routes to Fa Peng Teng are mainly concrete staircases. From the Toll
Plaza to Fa Peng Teng, it takes less than one hour by walk, depending
on the route you choose and the time you spend in each spot. The route
in red arrows is the path we selected.
The view from Fa Peng Teng is very different and fascinating. We can overlook East Lamma Channel, Lamma Island, Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong Island (Sai Wan, Sheung Wan and Central), Kowloon Peninsula, Stonecutters Bridge, Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge, Ma Wan and Tsing Yi Island.
Most routes are similar to this concrete pavement.

To take good photos, it
is heard that summer should be the best time. If it is in winter, wind
is blown from the north, resulting that the sky would not be clear
enough.

We have not climbed up to Fa Peng Teng immediately, but to walk down to sea level.
This Kap Shui Mum Channel is very busy, with all ships moving from left to right in the above photo.
The following three photos are taken from Ma Wan, but not the Lantau.

There are several small beaches at the north-eastern part of Lantau Island.
We can view Kowloon Peninsula and Hong Kong Island (Central and Sheung Wan) from another angle.
The route from the beach to Fa Peng Teng is not concrete staircase but natural trail.
This
is the rock symbolizing Fa Peng Teng (the vase top). It is quite strange
that there is such a big rock firmly stood at the top.
Tsing
Ma Bridge at night is extremely fascinating in fact. But because of my
equipment and skill, this should be the best available. Really sorry. To
