Yuen Yuen Institute (圓玄學院) was established in 1950. It is located in Sam Dip Tam (三疊潭) in Tsuen Wan (荃灣). Yuen Yuen Institute, being a mixture of temple, pavilions, monasteries and niches (骨灰), is the only temple in Hong Kong dedicated to all three major Chinese religions: Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism.

Yuen Yuen Institute is to promote
  • to spread the principles of the three religions, Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism;
  • to uphold the eight virtues (i.e. filial piety, respect, loyalty, fidelity, propriety, justice, honesty and honour);
  • to promote social welfare.

This is the main building at the Institute, which is a replica of the Temple of Heaven (Tian Tan) in Beijing.

There is a restaurant offering vegetarian meal in the Institute.
