So Uk Estate
I
am so sorry, this is the first time and also the last time for me to
visit old So Uk Estate. This means I have never visited So Uk Estate
before.
For
the sake of reducing maintenance cost in the long run, the last six
blocks have to be demolished though they still look good.
The blocks were called "Houses" and named after flowers.
All are vacant now.
It
is like to visit a museum. Though it is not possible to have an
in-depth visit and stroll around the estate, it is already very fruitful
and adventurous. Pace in Hong Kong is fast. A lot of things appear and
disappear suddenly. Anyway, if time allows. it is fun to walk around and
experience.

Uk Estate (蘇屋邨) is an old public housing estate, the last six blocks
are to be demolished in 2013. So Uk Estate is located in Cheung Sha Wan
of Kowloon. But new housing blocks will be built in place of the ones
now being demolished. According to record, the buildings in the photos
below were built in 1960s.
