Nam Sang Wai 南生圍

Nam Sang Wai is a large piece of mango-shaped wetland to the north of Yuen Long, which is in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is bordered by Shan Pui River and
Kam Tim River. Nam Sang Wai was formerly fish pond and marsh. But
because of change in population and economic structures in Hong Kong,
this piece of land is no longer productive and a supply of fishes,
vegetables and crops.

In fact, we have visited Nam Sang Wai before. For details, please click
here.

But
the route this time in Nam Sang Wai is completely different. Therefore,
what we have seen is also different. In winter, there is still water in
some ponds.

We guess there will be water here in summer.

There is sign that a pond is going to be restored.

Colour in winter is totally different. There are light and dark brown colours of rock and grass.

This rich soil is suitable for agriculture.

This scenery is ideal for phototaking and drawing.

This is pictureque in my mind.

There are not too many dwellers in Nam Sang Wai.

I do not know whether they are undergoing bird migration.

Group of photographers is found here.

They are taking remains of lotus in the pond.

These two trees are occupied by birds. The white colour on tree parts is the result of their dung.

It is nice to see their heads facing the same direction.

We have to ride faster and go back to Yuen Long town.
