The Hindu Temple (
印度廟) in Happy Valley, built in 1949,
is the first Indian temple in Hong Kong. There are about 100,000 Hindus in Hong Kong. The Hindu Temple in Happy Valley is an important place for their meditation, yoga classes, spiritual lectures and the observance of major Hindu festivals. It is also a place for marriage ceremonies.

The Temple complex is declared Heritage Building - Grade II by the HKSAR Government.

The temple is in good condition because it is renovated regularly by the donation of devotees.

At the Temple, religious discourses are organized regularly.
Educational tours are organized by schools in Hong Kong to visit the temple to understand the various aspects of Hindu religion.

Followers are from South and South East and Far East Asia.

There are not too many worshipers in the afternoon.

The temple is open to the public. We have not been blocked and are allowed to visit the temple freely. Of course, what we do is to visit and take photos. It is special to visit the Hindu Temple in Happy Valley.
