Yuen Tan Temple (玄壇古廟)
should be the only temple in Hong Kong with this name. This Yuen Tan
Temple is located at Shek Mun Kap Village in Tung Chung, Lantau Island,

Yuen Tan (玄壇), being a taoist altar, is also used to refer to person who is always solemn and serious.
This temple is very small and was renovated in 2,000. It should be taken care of by the people of Shek Mun Kap Village. At the time of our visit, a small flame is on an oil lamp.
This is the actual appearance of the temple, in which a statue is in the middle of the temple.
The temple should have not been renovated within a couple of years, this is evidenced by the fading of red colour in this structure. But the temple is still in good condition.
