Old Buildings in Hung Hom

Hung Hom is a district in Kowloon Peninsula
in Hong Kong. It is one of the several districts in the urban area
without MTR (underground), if the Kowloon Station is not taken into
account. Apart from large scale housing estates along the coast, like
Whampoa Garden, Whampao Estate and Laguna Verde, there are in fact quite
a lot of old buildings in Hung Hom.

Before
there is a big change, it is a nice experience to take photos of some
old buildings near the Kowloon Station. Maybe, several years later,
these photos would be very precious.

Old buildings are mostly not more than ten storeys.

For such buildings of less than ten storeys, fireman life should not be available.

From this angle, there are still not too many high-rise buildings in Hung Hom.

They are old but colourful.

This is taken from the Hung Hom Station car park. High-rise building are constructing.

The Royal Peninsula (a private housing estate) is at the back.

Wuhu Street

There are quite a lot of old buildings of not more than ten storeys in Hung Hom. They all are going to disappear in ten years. This is the norm for a society to continue to develop.
