Kwun Tong Promenade

Kwun Tong
Promenade (觀塘海濱長廊) is a harbourfront enhancement project, completed
with the opening of a promenade along the waterfront of the Kwun Tong
area in Hoi Bun Road. It was opened in January 2010. It is a measure to
improve and beautify the harbourfront with a view to providing more open
space for public leisure and enjoyment of the magnificent harbour view.
Thanks to the project, it is now the paradise of photographers, art
students, performers and all.

This special tower landmark is the icon of Kwun Tong Promenade.

It is completely different at night.

Light and bright colours are more impressive.

Photo-taking at night is a commonplace.

Props and models are must-have items.

Music, special lighting features and mist effects at the tower will create a colourful atmosphere at night.

The
promenade stictly speaking is not very large. A performance stage and a
spectator stand with about 200 seats are provided at the promenade to
facilitate hosting of events by various organisations.

It is adjacent to the flyover.

The
promenade features various types of facilities for the public,
including a children's playground, a multi-purpose plaza and seaside
boardwalk.

The 200-metre long promenade was formerly part of the Kwun Tong Public Cargo Working Area .

It is not expected to have such an artistic promenade along the waterfront of Kwun Tong area.
